Those J's brakes are way to pretty to go on my car and get thrashed.
I got some Brembos, want some pics???

You just need an Asura Turbo S2000 for all those other fancy parts

It's a novel idea but the OVERALL cost is pretty high which explains why very few people have this setup and still maintain the clean stock look.

I toy'd with this idea for quite some time and finally realized that it's too $$$ a mod.

I'd love to see what you come up with if someone steps up to the plate

rk- You hit the nail squarely on the head! Cost is rediculous. Shops charge as much as $500 just to cut your dash because owners are afraid of damaging the dash or setting off the passenger air bag. Now throw in the electronics and the bezel and you are talking about a seriously $$ly mod for sure, which is why I got so many points at car shows ;-) So, based on what I learned, this will be a kit that will include:

1) the custom dash bezel color matched to your interior
2) a dash template so that you or your local installer knows where to cut to get the contour lined up perfectly with the bezel and well away from the SRS system
3) detailed instructions and a "how-to" video
3) an application specific "ring" for your video system
4) an optional display similar to the Kenwood model that I'm offering above at a discounted rate

While there are certainly some dollars involved here, this is truly a community offering filling a gap in what is available for the limited S2000 A/V setup. Who wouldn't want their voice activated Nav system in their S2000 to best anything in the current Acura line, or do away with that that horrible insecure suction-cupped GPS install?

After the initial proto on the lucky Bay Area AP2, the limited run of kits will be offered with various (or no) electronics on the S2Ki for sale forum. Local Bay Area installs can be done through a preferred local shop.

Any particular reason it has to be an AP2?

I'm looking for an AP2 because I've already done the conversion on my AP1 and I want to show universal fitment and alternate interior color matching. There are always those people who are reluctant when statements like "It should fit on any model year S2000" are made if they haven't actually shown that to be the case. At any rate, I want the first complete kit to go on a Bay Area S2000. I know there are some owners who don't want to do irreversible mods to their beautiful car, but lust like the AP2 tail lights and a J's catch can, there are some things that should be done to each and every S2000 to make it better. I think a video conversion is right up there at the top. I mean, the JDM model has it after all right, so why not LHD?

Just hook up that Kenwood touchscreen to a hideaway navi KNA-G510 (OEM'd Garmin) and you're there!
