New Clutch--thanks Hopkins
My stock clutch 01' stook had a rattling sound after about 9000 miles. Hopkins gave me a new clutch disc under warranty. Only took 3 working days. FOR FREE
Highly recommended for Bay Area Service "Hopkins Honda in Sunnyvale"
They even had old guys valet park your car.
No offense if you are the same age as the valet parkers and drive a s2000

For a competent mechanic a clutch job should be about 3-4 hours. Dealerships always have clutch disks, brake pads, and most other wear items for cars they sell in stock. Prove me wrong and I'll pour some syrup on mine and have it for breakfast . I'm glad they did it for free, but you shouldn't have to settle for sub-standard treatment. They took 3 days because they had work orders from people who were paying for service.

Ummmm, it takes about 3 hours to take it apart. 1 day to order the new disc. Ummm 1 more day to put back together and seal the transmission. MUST SEAL The transmission for at least 12 hours to prevent leakage. Hey 3 days is fine by me caus it was FREE

Hehehehe, well by myself, without a hydraulic lift, I replaced my clutch, flywheel, and pressure plate, in about 7 hours, without impact wrenches to help along sticky bolts. If that dealership doesn't carry clutch disks and throwout bearings/pilot bearings, I would be very surprised. Of course it being free is something to be happy about, I just wouldn't want to wait 3 days to have my car back . Ask Josh3IO what happens when Hopkins really does have to order parts(I promise you they didn't for your clutch).

yeah...I replaced the clutch in my Stealth TT (FAR more complex than the S2000) in under 8 hours...in my garage, without air tools. True, I've done it about 5 times, so I have practice, but so should any competant dealer...
