i think the way my brother justified it was that netflix is located pretty close to the south bay and blockbuster is further, meaning that the overall turnaround time for request -> watch -> return -> new movie is shorter than blockbuster. the 2 free coupons for the local rentals is attractive though.

That's why I was curious how Blockbuster service is now. I live real close to a Blockbuster, so if their service is on par with Netflix, then I'll probably go with them just because of the in-store coupons.
