I used to use Paypal until my first dispute. They are never on your side...regardless what the situation is.

talk to your credit card company and they ll protect you for sure. print out his adds page so you ll have a proof

Sorry to hear about it bro. AMEX should treat you right. I had a similar issue and I got all my money back. I had a dispute with a shady travel agent.
