^ naw, if you want to add more preload than you need to move the perch under the spring upward so it gets tighter. Be careful that will also change your ride height and make it higher. But you can def adj the preload on there. Just use some PB Blaster/WD40 on the threads then use some elbow grease!

Yeah you can adjust preload while the damper is on the car but measurements are hard to make sometimes that way. If you have 2" of gap with the wheel and the fender and STILL have issues then you have wheel/tire issues that likely won't be corrected with ride height.

Talk to Phil at Spoolin Development/Almaden Collision, he owns a very nice Supra and drags on slicks, did the fender work on my car to clear my wheels/tires. He'll know exactly what you need to do with your Supra to make your tire / wheel combination work with the goals you want.
