Default Need some help asap.

I tried searching this right now, but if seems like the search is not working right now.

Well here it goes....

Today my car was acting a little stranger than normal. I had problems shifting gears and the clutch felt like it was engaging earlier than normal. for example as i was at a stop light today i was in neutral and then i wanted to shift it first. so i pushed down the clutch petal all the way and tryed to shift into first but it wont let me. there was like a blockage. Also while i was on the freeway in 6th gear and wanted to downshift to 5th i pushed in the clutch and tryed shifting down and it wouldnt let me. Also i attended that potluck on sunday with you guys and my car was feeling a little different casue it felt like the clutch was engaging earlier but i thought it was becuase my dad moved up the seat, because he had driven my car recently and he is shorter than i am. Later on today as i wanted to go home from school, my dad told me to push in the clutch without the car on and see how it feels. the clutch felt really soft, there was no resistance while it was coming up.
IT was a Pain in the Ahole to drive it home today, i was thinking i wasnt going to make it home cause the clutch was already engaging before i even let it out! but lucky i made it home without a towtruck.

anyways my brake fluid is still good so my dad thinks it is the clutch slave cylinder... can this be? any comments welcome. feel free to chime in.
btw where can i get a clutch slave cylinder asap? dealership i guess?

sorry for writing so much. just need some help though asap!!!

thanks
-Arlin

common problem is the clutch master cylinder leaks on the seal on the interior side. or possibly there is air in the system.

and noone has the clutch master cylinder in stock. usually its a 2 day wait period from dealer.

You could try bleeding it and see if that helps.

Vu...i think your idea worked....the fluid must of been a tad low and it was really black. now that we have bleeded it clutch feels very solid. imma go for a test drive and proably drive it around to see what happens for the next couple of days.
