Default Need some advice guys

I need to get my catalytic converter replaced on my 93 civic (failed every single category on both idle and cruise) Anyone know a good smog place (by good I mean cheap) that they've been too?

P.S. I also wanted to know what FD stands for. I know it refers to the rx-7, and I saw what it meant once, but I forgot.

P.S.S. If someone has welding ability, and wants to help me replace it, I can pay by the hour

Joey can replace Cat's at his shop. I think they have a smog tester too.

FD is the last gen RX7 (93 and up IIRC)

Joey's a good guy

Also, you might want to check out Mike at Golden Auto - he's done all my exhaust- and cat-related work for a good price.

If your in/willing to drive to the north bay, Universal Auto can weld that Cat for you. They did mine back when I had my Tiburon. Good shop, always took my car there for installs.

My dad says it needs to be welded. I personally have no idea. I could take a picture for you =)

I had a crack on my header fixed at Tri-Valley Muffler in Dublin. Nice guy. I'm sure he could weld on a cat for you.

What do you guys think it will cost? My dad said about 400...300 for the cat plus labor(100)?
