It is So. Cal. but the best place around is Ram Jet Rear End Repair in Sun Valley (north of L.A.) He has been doing S2000's for over 2 years with no problems. He even makes his own crush washers. The guy does racecars and dragsters and nothing but rear ends all day long. He won't pull your rear end but he can sure set them up.

It would be worthwhile to ship it down to him or have one person make the run for several. FWIW

It is still not an differencial shop and he works on Miatas not Honda (does not make him a bad mechanic but does he have all the equipment).
The problem is that they do not have the right equipment to aligned the pinion gear and adjust the LSD like the way it comes from the factory.

The Torsen diff in the S2000 is almost the same if not the same as the Torsen diff in the Miata or Rx-7.

Hello~

I drove out to Sac. 4:30 in the morning to drop my car off @ Elk Grove Honda.
I'm getting my 4.44 gears installed over the weekend.

When i got back i found this in my inbox.

"Rear End Specialties in Santa Clara, off Lafayette. Any of the rotary shops, like Rick's Rotary should be to do it or recommend a shop too... John"

This is from the RX-7 Board and one of the members recommended this shop.
I wish i got this earlier...but oh well

Does anyone in the area know this shop?
If so please help us out for future reference.

Thanx!

How much is it usually to install 4.44 gears? Since diff and tranny open, what other parts should I replace? Clutch, pressure plate?

Actually there is no need to open the tranny to do 4.44, only the diff.
