Went to LA really early this morning and got a FAT ticket for 108 in a contruction zone off of I-5. Not in the S, but in a sedan. Thinking about getting a traffic court lawyer's advice... Anyone know of any? Any help will be appreciated... As far as the speed... i was probably going around there... it was 7:30am and no cars...except for the CHP...

I don't think averages and statistics, County records of average traffic flow is going to help in a 108 mph speeding citation. I once got popped in San Diego for doing 75 mph back in 1997. I told the Judge my Speedometer cable was broken. I even showed a reciept and the old broken cable. The Judge said "there is no law that states you have to have a working speedometer." Then he said, "I find you GUILTY That will be 137 dollars, can you pay that today?" That guy was a dick (don't be that guy)
If yer lucky, a lawyer may get it reduced to 75 mph.
Edit: I'm lucky I got cited for 75 mph. I was racing traffic doin about 115 mph. It wasn't until I slowed down to about 75 mph, the Hwy Patrol Lady rolled up on my back door. If I hadn't slowed down, I woulda not got caught

Does your ticket actually say you were in a construction zone?? If so, not only are fines doubled but the judge isn't going to cut you any slack. Hopefully it doesn't say it.
I once got a ticket for turning on a red left turn light at 2am. I was the second car through the intersection because the light was malfunctioning. The cop pulled me over instead though. Even after I got him to admit in court that the light often malfunctions, the judge still found me guilty because I had admitted to turning on the red. What a crock.
