you can always return it to costco for a refund if she says no. j/k
definitely have someone try n get you into a wholesaler (gift center). $25K is quite a ring...esp if it appraises for more. if you decide to get insurance for the ring (which would be pretty smart for spending big bucks) thats gonna cost close to what your car insurance costs. try www.jewelersmutual.com for an estimate.
homeowners insurance only covers insurance up to a certain value for jewelry.
