Do trial by declaration first. If the cop doesn't submit a declaration (50/50 chance), you win, no matter what your declaration says. If they do, and you lose, you are no worse off than you are now, and you can get a real trial. Nothing to lose since traffic school isn't an option.

I am actually in the same boat as you, i allegedely rolled a stop sign too and the tickets says i was going 15. I just called in for a 30 day extension. I think I will use the ticketassasin because I have seen a lot of recs for him...However, I am confused, on the ticket it says I may lose my right to traffic skool if I fight it? Can someone please clarify...

I swear some of these tickets can be considered borderline extortion.

No, you won't lose your right for traffic school by going to traffic court and contest it.

---I swear some of these tickets can be considered borderline extortion--- I agree

If the fine is very low, might not worth the hassle to fight it.

I got a $380 ticket (pic by camera at a intersection in Fremont ) for not fully stop for making a right turn at a red light. The ticket stated I was doing 15 mph while making right turn. The fine was $380 in Fremont, I went to court and was hoping to fight over it, but judge showed me a clip of digital video on his desktop and I couldn't really argue anymore so I paid and went to traffic school.

Overall it cost me around $400, little too much for making a right turn at a red light without fully stop. Be careful if you ever drive in Fremont.

The $25 is more of a donation... I believe in good karma.
I have won 4 tickets via advice from ticket asssasin. I would gladly donate $25 for EACH one of those tickets if Pat had requested.

I think that if you don't go to traffic school, it is $168. If you decide to go to traffic school, you pay $177 instead (plus the cost of the school). However, if you've been to traffic school within the past 18 months you will not be eligible for it again. Well, you can go to traffic school but you'll still get the point.

Did like Minako, went to ticketassassin.com. I also did the 30 day extension. I did not get a fine/bail. Either way at the minimum I'm hoping to get a reduced fine.

relights suck. my dad got caught and it was $500 all in all. he went to traffic school with me.
if you really think you cant win it just ask for a reduction of the fine or bail or whatever. its better than paying the full amount.
