Need help with a $350.00 parking ticket...
i got a ticket today...its from a third party...i got a ticket and san jose state univeristy (third party...not police)...it was a parking citation for parking in a handicapped spot with an expired placard...(i had to pee real bad...) but the thing is that they are charging me $351.00 and they have the time wrong...my ticket says that i was ticketed at 9:39am, but i was at a different school at the time attending a different class(i can prove it)....i think its because of the daylight savings time thing...is there anyway to fight this? i would appreciate this alot...thanks....and please...no post whores that arent helping....

Not that I condone using a Handicapped p[lacard to go pee (although I totally understand the motivation) but...I think if the time is wrong on the ticket, you should be able to wait for the warning to be mailed to you, and then challenge the ticket because you were not there at the cited time and thus it must have been a mistake..i mean you never received the original ticket on your car right?
The moral of this story is: If you really gotta pee, better to park in the red zone than a blue zone... it costs less.

OK, you may have missed the point, so I'll repost another way...
If the time was wrong on the ticket, then the car that they cited must NOT be yours right? I mean you were somewhere else and your car was parked somewhere else at the citation time. THEREFORE, you couldn't possibly have actually gotten the original ticket since YOU WEREN'T THERE. Thats why you responded AFTER a warning was mailed to you...OBVOIOUSLY you were in class at another school at that time and have witnesses. CITATION must have been issued to another car right?
