Default Need advice on performance tweaking

I'm not into major upgrades but like to know some tips on how to optimize performance and improve dyno results, without committing too much work. Thanks

You can use a VAFC to tune the air/fuel mixture to get more power, especially at the top end, but power and not committing too much work don't usually go hand in hand.

Pardon me for sounding a bit ignorant but what is a VAFC and where would you get one? I've always been a speeder but not much of a mechanic so I'm new to this.

Also at times I've noticed mild pings when stepping on the accelerator, even in Vtech, and was wondering how to get rid of this.

Make sure you're running super unleaded. If you're pinging at V-Tec you probably are running bad gas. Use a fuel injector cleaner.

I use Chevron Supreme religiously. Think I'm gonna try the fuel injector cleaner and VAFC and see if there's any improvements.

VAFC gains will not last, over time the ecu will compencate for it. It's not worth the money $$$

Thanks for the heads up. You're the one who posted about dyno gains before. Maybe you can tip me in.

The vafc just try's to trick the ECU into diffrent fuel settings. At first you will see gains, but over a period of time the ECU will fix that....

An AEM EMS or a Greddy emangane ultimate w/ the correct harness or it will be useless like the vafc... Those are the best ways to tune your car.
