I'm getting ready to head to my sister's in oregon for the week; I'm gonna drive the S up. she's over by the coast. Last year I did 1 up there (11 hours) and 5 back. 5 was definitely faster, the only trouble with 5 was getting to it over all the passes. I've heard that there's more snow up there this year.

I'm gonna leave at about midnight tonight (sunday) so I get up there while it's still light. should I risk the passes? or just take the scenic route up 1?

Any thoughts? thanx!

I5 definately has a lower concentration of CHPs... I don'tk now about the snow factor though...
