NCRC Chrono Round 3 - Thunderhill Raceway
Just finished Round 3 of NCRC Chrono Series at Thunderhill Raceway. Today was a BLAST! The weather was perfect, everybody was in a good mood and we all hit new personal bests! Tunerplayground was there doing much testing to get ready for Global Time Attack and it definitely seems to be paying off.
Practice run was interesting because the weather was cold and seemed like record setting weather. So I think all of us set new PBs in practice...not sure if thats a good thing or a bad thing.
Qualifying run was not too pleasant for me. I had run into traffic the entire time and was not able to really get a clean lap for qualifying but none the less stayed on it and tried to work it out through the session.
Heat 1 and 2 was not the easiest because the day had significantly warmed up. Tires were getting overheated (or overworked lol) and was not getting any faster. I wasnt even able to best my practice lap time because of the heat. I had made some suspension changes and it seemed to be working so I made one more change on the wing.
Heat 3 was not bad, I was able to get the car to hook correctly, and beat my best practice time by .05 LOL. I basically need to work on Turn 5 and 9 I believe to really get that last bit to dip into 1.59s
Congrats to everybody this weekend that hit new personal bests! Mine was a 2.00.56

I think 1:59.xxx if you had let me eat more of your chicken biscuits. The weight savings would have been enough.

Seriously. How did the mirror get loose? Need to talk to our crew chief about that one.
