Gloves are to make you look cool. Duh.
Jk. Gloves exist for two primary reasons:
1. Sweaty hands & also because quality gloves increase friction contact with the steering wheel, particularly suede, so you're not death gripping the wheel and you're driving in a more relaxed fashion
2. Fire resistant for safety
