Is anyone planning on doing the NASA track day August 11-12 at Thunderhill? I'll be doing my second HPDE August 12 (did my first one this past May at Infineon). There were a couple S2000s then, I'm hoping there'll be a few more in Thunderhill in a couple weeks. My son and I will be driving up from Martinez early Sunday morning.

Having never been there, I'm also curious if there's anywhere to get out of the sun at Thunderhill. Other then that question, and with my new Carbotech pads on, we should be good to go.

I think more people will be going on Sat., but as far as getting out of the sun, there are a couple of small trees that probably would not provide much shade. There is also a small structure near the edge of the track with a small covered patio. Try to get there early to snag it.

Just make sure you bed in your pads and bleed your brakes before you go and you should be good to go. Have fun, I'll be there sat.
