FYI HAP will most likely only sell the complete long block. Try them anyway though.

sorry to hear about it vu. If you end up replacing the head let me know. I may be interested in picking up your damaged head. I've been thinking about picking up a damaged one for a bit to prototype an new valve system.

Vu, are you the one that bought the head on ebay for $725? Or have you found a different route?

Nope. Way too much money. I've got the head at Morgan's Machine in Walnut Creek getting the threads fixed. I should have the car back together before the end of the weekend.

Got the head back from the machine shop yesterday. I just finished put the head bolts in. Next comes the camshafts. After that comes the hard part, the thermostat housing. Why couldn't they put it in a better place.

Well, got the car started this morning. Seems to be running okay except for there is too much valve noise, so I'm letting the engine cool down before I try adjusting the valves again. Some how I lost the pulsation damper assy. (the nut that attaches the fuel line to the fuel rain), so I had to "borrow" the one off my CRX. I was suprised that they were the same.

Well, my car is finally back on the road. After borrowing my buddy's cool valve adjustment tool, I re-adjusted my valves. Reminder to myself to not adjust valves at 2:30 am. 13 or the 16 valves needed to be re-adjusted. Car is so much quieter now.
