Default My car got hit in the parking lot

My car was parked and as my coworker was backing out and as she hit my driverside fender and most of my driver side door...now my fender and door look like hills...I was wondering if it was possible for her insurance to pay to get the whole car repainted...

yea the damage is pretty bad.

Most likely not for the whole car, just the area that was affected by the accident.

I had a similar thing happen to me (though not as bad as yours, by the sound of it). It required a repaint of the door, and his insurance paid for everything.

i highly doubt u'll be able to get the whole car painted.. the cost of painting the door and fender is a lot less then painting the whole car..

Actually, your car have faded paint? I mean if it doesnt match after the repaint I would think it would be justified to repaint the entire car for it to be put back in pre-hit condition! right? Just a thought.

BMB-Sorry to hear about your car man.A couple of weeks ago,I posted in whyne country about my car also being hit.Coincidentally,my front left fender and door was tagged. After visiting some shops,it came down to this.Replace the fender, paint it,bondo the door and paint.Apparently the rule of thumb for body shops is to paint all adjacent panels, hood and front bumper. The adjustor from the insurance co.would not authorize the cost to repaint the front bumper or the rocker panel under the door that also had damage!Even though my ride is new and argued the strong merits of painting the other body parts as suggested by the shop, the adjustor would not budge. If your more persuasive and the fact that your damage sounds way more severe, you should be able to collect enough to have everything repaired and get the entire car re-painted.One more thing, the original shop that i had do the estimate was dramatically higher than another shop that I have found. The original estimate that was seen by the adjustor was slashed $ wise but enough to get the car fixed well at the second place.I hope this might be helpful and good luck.
