Default my car came with only 1 key

Hey guys, just bought a 2005 s2000. The guy only had 1 key however. Closest dealership to me quoted me $200 for a spare. Does anyone know of any dealerships or shops in the bay area that can cut and program a spare key at a better price? I live in Fremont. Thanks all

Ouch... the 05+ are different from 00-04. Normally I would tell u to go to a mall stand at great mall to make one made but they don't copy those keys.

just called into a bunch of dealerships around me. Dublin Honda had the best rate for programing the key at $68.50. Lemme know if anyone can do it for less

Check your tool kit. I found my other key and instructions in the tool area.

I used a website called transponder island about two years ago to get a s2 key blank for about $37 then I took it to the dealership and got it programmed/cut for about $80. I don't know if it would still work but maybe you could try that out?

you should have 3 keys, 2 keys with remote and 1 valet key.

I think True Value does transponder keys for around $50, I've been meaning to get a spare myself.
