I get that a lot too. I recently smogged my car and the guy working there thought my car was a BMW??

They also ask what kind of car do I have. I don't even bother saying S2000. I just say it's a Honda and their reaction is surprising.

Depends on the city. Some will throw it out, some will correct their mistake and reassign the ticket. Coworker of mine got a parking ticket and they got the wrong plate number and color of the car and they corrected the mistakes and reassigned the ticket... bastards lol
