My 2002 S2000
Hello everyone. I just took possesion of my 2002 S2000. Sebring silver over black. Therefore, I am a new owner and would like to find out more about club activities. I am in the Santa Cruz California area. I get a lot of joy out of my S2000 driving through Capitola, Seacliff and up hiway 1 North of Santa Cruz. The first Sunday I took my car out, I drove through the Santa Cruz mountains on hiway 9 to Big Basin. There, I ran into a pack of BMW enthusiasts out for a day of golf. They were just getting into their cars as I passed them heading for hiway 1 on a lonely and twisting road. They tried to keep up but you know. This car is a real pleasure to drive. I can only compare it to a roller coaster ride. The car feels like it is actually chained to the road.
I would like to know if I can join the club and what is required besides having a fine car like ours. It would be a blast to meet other owners and find out about activities planned.
Sincerely,
Jrf

Welcome aboard. There's nothing you need to do to join other than frequent the boards and attend the gatherings you can. We just did a group drive in SF that was a blast. If you think people look at a single S2000, imagine the head snapping and finger pointing when there are 12 in a row lined up at a light in the City. What a blast. I don't knwo too many owners in Santa Cruz, but there are quite a few in Scotts Valley that make it to more lunches than I do (sad).
FYI - make sure to register your serial number and get you sig changed to "owner".
Cheers,
Jimbo

Thank you for the welcome and pointers Jimbo. The gatherings do sound fun. I imagine that I keep checking the posts to find out about dates and times of gatherings.
I've only seen one other S2K in my area and that is in Capitola. They are rare here. Gads of the common Z3s and Miatas but only one other S2K.
Thanks again,
JRF
