I'd be down for some floormats if you can get at least the 10% off.

If we order through the site, will we get some sort of coupon code to get the discount?

tritium_pie - 1 item (x-brace)

NikePenguin - 2 items (left-hand convex mirror, floor mats)

nowitzki - 1 item (floor mats)

problem child - 1 item (x-brace)

Ash - ??

APFueled - 1 item (x-brace)

Halo - 1 item (floor mats)

CrazyPhuD - 1 item, possibly 3? (unknown)

Total: 8

If CrazyPhud or anyone else orders more than 1 item, then we should get the 10% off at least. Honestly, I'm wanting to hold out for 15+ items so we can get a really excellent discount. As I mentioned earlier, I'll commit to ordering 2 items if we get the 15% discount.

Regarding shipping: That is going to depend on what the final tally of items is, their weight, etc. In other words, we don't know yet. Divided amongst 10-15 people, I think it'll be negligible.

Regarding method-of-payment: I think the best way will be to use MUz's website, and he'll probably have us enter some sort of coupon code, and/or add a comment in the comment box, such as "Bay Area GB" or something. I'll work out the details with Muz via PM once we reach the threshold level (10+ or 15+ items) for this GB. Besides, I'm sure he's done a bunch of group buys like this before, so he's long ago worked out the logistics.

Regarding x-brace install at my mechanic's place: I haven't contacted him yet because that's a few steps down the road. Once we've got commited payments and the items are on the way, I can contact him and see what kind of deal I can work out.

Right now, we're already over halfway to getting the 15% off deal. I'm thinking of leaving this GB open until January (past the holiday madness) to see if we can get enough other commitments from Bay Area peeps to swing us the large discount. As soon as we get commitments for 15+ items, I say let's put in the order ASAP so we can get our stuff sooner. If not, and everybody would be satisfied with just the 10% discount, at the end of the first week of January we can look into putting our orders in with Muz.

Depends....so all I'm looking for is a range of shipping price, i.e. over $100 over $200, etc...(total of course) just to get an idea....this is coming from Aus...so i would expect initial cost may be high but incremental cost shouldn't be bad.

I'm willing to wait in hope that we can get the 15% discount. Of course, we can't wait too long though.

yeah, for the difference of just $10 (5%) on most of the higher priced items (~US$200) it isn't worth making everyone wait for months. I figure closing the GB around Jan 7th-- a week after New Years and 2 weeks after x-mas (which is another paycheck for most people)-- is a good timeframe.

If we can get 15% off I am in for at least some floormats and maybe a trunk lid saddle bag.
