can't dyno a mugen 'cause i thikn you need to be like in a wind tunnel with 55+ mph winds to see anything. IF anything.

AEM you'll gain something.

you have to cut the stock hood a bit...AEM you just have to cut this plastic panel at the bottom of your engine bay or just remove it.

Mugen is like 1400 dollars

AEM is like 200 bucks

Honestly if you buy any intake over $1000 your not really going to see crazy gains. Maybe 1-3 hp, if that. AEM I have seen with 3-5 hp gains. Your really paying for quality and the name brand if you go with Mugen. I had both and both felt the same on the butt meter. So do you want CF bling for $1400 or a silver pipe that goes down to the bottom of your car and a 3 hp gain for $200?

I had both of those intakes too. The Comptech is great for the money. The J's is also a nice piece. Downside on the Comptech is if you run a version 1 Js CF hood, make sure you dont leave your car out in the rain. Water can get to the blue foam filter. Other than that its fine.

i guess taking this thread a little bit further, anyone feel any difference b/w AEM v1 & v2 intake? i've more or less narrowed it down to the comptech & AEM intakes since i'm not really concerned about hydrolock (had aem on my lude for 4 yrs w/o problems in the rain), but i'm wondering whether the v2 is worth the couple extra bucks or if it's just a marketing gimmick. no matter how much i love the look of j's intake, i can't justify the price.
