Jason at Spider Autoglass could help you out with that or give you some tips.
They have done some installs on Mugen tops with a much simpler cleaner looking window moulding.

Here it is on Jei's authentic Mugen top:

i think you're confusing the 2, an authentic mugen molding is much cleaner than any aftermarket molding, it doesnt require glue as it comes with a real window molding that wraps around the hardtop and Jei has a replica mugen hardtop.

I assumed he had an authentic FRP top, but doesn't really matter it doesn't really have much to do with the window molding.
I am just saying I think Jason's solution looks cleaner than the authentic molding (which I have seen on other cars), which has much more of a bulge away from the surface of the hardtop. Both look good, and if one has the Mugen molding they should definitely just use that.

It's always to use the authentic stuff that they provided especially for Mugen Parts.
For our shop we do it differently as we put the special glue and the custom molding to make it look OEM looking as much as we can.
Now we offer a more scratch resistant plexi glass in the shop and it's in stock over the shop.
Anyone who wants the clear plexi glass or change out their oxidized one should come see us now
