Mugen CAI install
Has anyone in the Bay Area had the Mugen CAI professionally installed? If so, where did you have it done? Did they do a good job?
Having looked at the "instructions" that come with it, I'd prefer to have someone install it that's done one before.
Thanks very much.

Well, it certainly seems that many install it themselves. But I simply don't have the time to tackle this job. Still want it done right though... Hopefully I can find a shop that really knows what they're doing. BTW, I'm in Palo Alto.

I installed mine about 2 weeks ago. It took me about 6 hours.
Unless you have a good variety of tools, the experience probably wouldn't be worth it.
I used:
dremmel
cut-off wheel (air-tool)
drill
electric tape
sheet metal cutter (helps cut some of the plastic pieces from the front air duct)
sockets
measuring tape
I did not have to take the hood off and I didn't have to remove the front bumper
I have a .pdf file for the instructions translated from the Japanese Mugen instruction guide. Let me know your email address and I can send them to you.
Still haven't re-dynoed my car. Can't notice any sound difference from CAI until you hit V-tec then you get an awesome sound.
Best 6 hours I spent.

Asura, like I really need to be encouraged to spend more $$ modding my car......then again, I guess I should consider what comes next so that I can keep up with you
