[QUOTE]This ride climbs the backside of the Mt. Hamilton summit, and descends the San Jose side to loop along Calaveras Road and Sunol/ Stanley Blvd. to return to Livermore.

Thanks for Josh's link! Let's call this drive "Triple Crown Drive Leg I"!

Next up, Mt Diablo, Mt Tamalpais!

If you're going to include Calaveras Road in the trip, then we might want "separate meeting places" for those starting near Pleasanton and those starting near San Jose. If the trip starts in San Jose, I'll take Calaveras Road to get there, but will "bail out" when we get back to Pleasanton. If it starts in Pleasanton or Livermore, I would take Calaveras coming back, but would assume the San Jose group would not want to do that last part of the trip, but would possibly come that way to meet with the main group. Calaveras road is much more interesting than the 680 freeway. I always take it when I get the chance. (Lots of hairpins and blind curves, though.)

I'm game, but out of town for the Fontana race on the weekend of the 3rd, and the Larry Hopkins event is the 17th, how about firming up for the 10th or 24th? (those don't seem to coincide with any of the track days listed either) In & out in Pleasanton at 9/9:30 works.

It seems to me Nov 10 9/9:30am works pretty well. Let's set the date to that. Since there are no other suggestions, we will meet at the Pleasanton In & Out. Any objections?

As recommended by Josh, I think we will take the Pleasanton route. I think the Calaveras/Sierra will be a good route for another Novice Drive.

DAMN DAMN DAMN----, Wish I had put my 2 cents in sooner about the date. Nov. 10th is a no go for me, but I look forward to the report. I've not done Mt. Ham and would have loved doing it the first time with a group.......oh baby baby...sounds so kinky!!! If the date is changed past the 11th---keep me posted. I'll be busy with my Mom until the 11th. BUT WAIT......maybe Maury will go with you all... (without me) I'll ask him and let you know for sure. Remember, DON'T LOSE HIM OUT THERE. Thanks, Ina

Nov. 10, 9:30 AM at the In N' Out in Pleasanton sounds good to me. But I might be a tad biased due to my location.
