Haha, I know I'm totally late to the welcoming committee but welcome to the bay!

I drove my S from Austin to San Diego and then up to San Fran. The drive is doable but don't sleep in the car like I did.

Once i get there a garage is going to be a must for me, can anyone suggest any apartments/duplexs etc with garages in decent neighborhoods? My gf and I are trying to stay under $1200 a month for rent alone and thats a single bedroom for us.

Ooh. That pretty hard to find. Places i find are around $1300 and above. Without garages but car ports in gated communities.

Thats too low for an apartment with a detached garage in the south bay. Cheapest I found was $1401.Try Rent.com. You can only probably get a carport parking for that price. Good luck

You might need to look for a studio that has some kind of garage/storage for under $1200. Also looking for rooms for rent in a home might be promising.

thats not bad, but are these like higher end places? newly developed structures? Or is that pretty much the normal in the bay area
