Default Moving to Alameda/ Palo Alto area in May...

I will be moving out to this area in late May. I am from California so I do know my way around but just wanted to say hello to you guys and hope to see some of you guys around. I thought I was going to move to San Diego (where I am from) but my gf got excepted to UC Davis so we are heading up there.

Any great shops in this area? My friend works at Bozz Performance and thats the only shop I know in the Fremont area. Any others you guys trust to tune your car or for installs?
Hows the crime??

Welcome. Are you bringing your S from Hawaii? Crime...As far as S2000's getting stolen I dont think there has been much of that going on...but a lot of S's tops have been slashed, but that's only happened in San Fran.

Yes I will be bringing my car.
It will be garage kept since I will be daily driving the Z or TSX. I am getting to many miles on the S2000 but I want to test out all the parts I have at a couple of the tracks there in California.
I just cant wait to go skiing again. I miss the snow.

First, (potentially) welcome to the area.

But your message has me quite confused. Alameda, Palo Alto, and Davis are very far apart, although they are all in "Northern California". Alameda are Palo Alto can both claim to be in the "Bay Area" although they are really at opposite sides of the Bay; but Davis is about 100 miles inland from the Bay. If your gf is in Davis and you are in Palo Alto, it will make for a very long distance relationship.

Aloha.

Very true. Those are just the two cities we are looking at right now. That all can change.

Welcome back

BTW: UCD is an awsome school (a little biased here, class of 99). What is your gf's major?

Tell her to get ready for the occasional smell of cow and horse poop though
