If that case then you have to go to the shop and try it on first. Road rider in San Jose is a very good store and they are the biggest accessories shop in Northern California. Very knowledgeable and helpful people work there. I'm going to go there sometime this week, let me know if you want to head out too. Last thing you want to do is buy a helmet that doesn't fit your head shape.

road rider in san jose for their suits selection
cyclegear on parkmoor for the helmets
helimot on old bayshore carries daytona boots - they also make custom suits and their own gloves and back protectors
there are a couple of smaller shops along el camino in sunnyvale and santa clara if you dont want to go too far, but the selection wont be as big as what you find at road rider / cyclegear
off the top of my head:
peninsula honda
santa clara cycle accessories
zoom cycle
etc etc..

Try out Motostrano in Redwood city. Very good selection of stuff, and the staff there is very helpful. They also carry a lot of helmets that Cycle Gear doesnt have.

I remember Road Rider having A LOT of stuff. And the people at Motostrano are great! I think they're said to have the biggest selection of A* stuff in california or something. They don't have Dainese though.

hey, so i ended up going to road rider on Monterey around 11 this morning, wow, they did have a big selection, i think i came during a busy time so it was a little crowded/ not much service. spent a good amount of time looking for a helmet, ended up picking the rf1000 in alchnite ( dont know how to spell it) msrp is around 400, out the door for 340, so pretty happy, fits great.
