true... from what i've heard, it's tested at 3000-4000 rpms, no? i think 4000. i can't find anywhere where it posts the db readings besides the legalis R exhaust specs lol

my exhaust is actually pretty quiet at 5-6k. i do have a silencer with it but never used it. when the cop saw me, i was at 2-3k so imagine how quiet that was. it was quieter than a suby.

If you have an iPhone / Android, you can download that decibel reader app and try getting a ballpark reading. It's "fairly" accurate if I remember correctly when I compared my exhaust to one of those in the video.

edit: I think this was the one.

BAR tests the exhaust according to SAE J1169. As far as carrying the report in your car if it passes it's useless... Cops can and will usually say "prove it to BAR" and send you over there again. Happened to my friend

AP1's will have a harder time passing due to RPM required during testing procedure, which is ~ 6225 IIRC and is at the VTEC crossover point.

Every modified citation I've received has resulted in a visit to a BAR station to have the car sound tested (which has been free for me three times now). There you will receive a sticker that will certify your exhaust. I recommend you make a photocopy of the sticker, when you go to pay the citation, the clerk will ultimately keep that original sticker.
