Just got my first one from a meter maid in Palo Alto. $60 fine or $10 with proof of correction.

What a pain.

I made the mistake of parking about 100 fett from a police station in GG park and got a fix it ticket about 6 weeks ago.

Are you going to take it back off after getting the correction certified?

Yeah. It's coming back off as soon as I'm out of site of Palo Alto town hall. Typical though, I was getting accosted by a deranged homeless guy in Palo Alto while the authorities are busy protecting the streets from my front-plateless car.

No kidding...my wife got a ticket for expired registration in a parking lot in Scotts Valley...the Chief of Police was not happy to hear his men where scoping out parking lots to give tickets said they had more important things to do then harrass local citizens...needless to say the ticket was dismissed...

ticket from plateless front of car == city revenue
deranged homeless guy getting community care == city cost.

Oh, the world we live in...

Just paid my $10 fix-it ticket at lunch today. The police officer who signed my ticket told me that she got the same fix-it ticket in Palo Alto last week! The town hall clerk told me that the meter maids have always given the ticket, so watch out in Palo Alto.

You also got $60 fine? I thought it's only a $10 fix it ticket in CA.

My choice was to not fix-it and pay $60 or fix-it and pay $10. I'm lazy but not so lazy that I won't take the time to save $50.
