Ok, no one has to get this worked up.
I think people fail to realize a CO's position is work. The job of bringing the community together through events, be it drives, dinners or other things. If you have no intention of attending the events you plan they're going to fail from the get go.
I'm not around much because we moved but we would attend drives if they were planned. We're hoping to stop by this Friday night....
Maybe next summer there will be more drives and we can make them.
