smh at people balking at a $10 gate fee. s2ks aren't exactly cheap cars to own/maintain. if $10 is that much of a hardship or deterrent, probably should have a different car.

that said, you will NOT be able to please everyone. at this late date & stage, just set the venue & particulars. whoever is seriously insterested will attend. would be great to get a large turnout, but again, can't please everyone. to be honest, i didn't want to say it in the beginning, but a track venue isn't for everyone/the masses. even if it's not an ON-track event, many people are intimidated or disinterested when they hear about track settings.

Sears Point is a very nice spot though. i think a bbq would still be cool if people are game. $15-20 ($10 gate fee + $5-10/head to pitch in) isn't a whole lot for a fun afternoon/day w/other s2k'ers.

btw, i will always call it Sears Point. i spent enough time there back in the day to have earned that right. lol

I think people can afford to buy 1 less 1 JDM sticker to pay for the cover charge
Just kidding. Hope no one was offended.

Slightly OT: I think a Baylands/BBQ event should be in the cards for the future. I don't really see why Sac and the Bay Area can't have more than one collective meet per yer.

Question : will we have a shaded area at Sanoma?
We will have access to the upper paddock for our cars, and probably the entire rest of the facility for ourselves, so plenty of shaded areas.
Nice

Obviously, we are staying at Sonoma at this point. It

Are people forgetting that the $10 gate is is essentially a ticket to watch a full day of NASA racing and simultaneously attend an s2000 mega-meet.

That's a way better deal than spending $10 on a 2 hour movie in a theater.

I saw you build a spreadsheet of all the nay-sayers (whoever balked at a $10 entry fee) and post it publicly.

I'm curious how you arranged parade laps with NASA because their events are organized like clockwork, Its like a well oiled machine. I can't believe you've been able to arrange that. If so, amazing work.

Either sound fine. If you actually want to use the parking lot, you may need to get an event permit for the Shopping Center (it's not a public space, AFAIK), although if we agree to solicit the facilities, then they're just being silly.

As per $10 for Sonoma. . . everybody wants to pay $0, and then expect value to come out of thin air. $10 + an additional food fee is not just good, it's friggin' great.

10 dollars shouldn't be a problem, just go easy on the gas pedal then can save that 10bucks already.

I think $10 is worth it; just take it easy while driving there and it'll make up the $10 for the gate fee. Plus it should be pretty cool up there.

Can't please everyone, just don't show up if it's not worth it?
