Its different for ap1s. You gotta hold the trip button before you turn the key to the on position. Then you keep holding it when you turn to the on position and wait till the maintanence required lights goes off.

Yes. And there are differences between the ap1 and ap2 danny.

If you are changing your oil before the maintenance light comes on, does this procedure "reset" the timing for the next time the maintenance light goes on? And if so, how long do you need to hold the button down since there is no visual indication (i.e., the maintenance light isn't on...so it won't go off).
