Woop. Guess what I came home to on my birthday. My Rick's Leather accessories, which means I've spent the last two hours scratching me head figuring out how to tear the console, etc., apart.

Not too bad, pretty simple in all. How nice of Rick to time my shipment arrival on my B-day.

Thanks Rick, the Stook looks even better now.

I installed both the leather console and shift boot. Now I need to decide what other mods I should start picking up.
Sounds like the Front grill screen might be a good start.

BTW, How long does it usually take for tags to come in when purchasing a new vehicle? Been about a month now and I still haven't received squat. I did get a refund from the DMV for my other car though. Ah, more mod money!

Tags usually come back in 6-8 weeks. BTW, did you get the non-perf or all perf version of the leather console?

I got all non-perf. I like the flat look alot better with the non-perf that the console cover provides on the top.

All perf seems a bit too much to my eyes.

Oops, I gather that should be non-perf with the perf that the console cover top provides.

Hey 2Bad,

That's great, I just ordered mine this week (console and shift boot). How long did it take you to receive it after ordering? How long did the install take? I'm in sunnyvale, perhaps we could get together so I could take a look at it? You could give me some pointers?

UCrazy,

It took about 3 or 4 weeks to receive the leather gear. Once it shipped it was just a week or so to arrive.

It took me about 2 1/2 hours to install. Keep in mind I was already on my way to being inhebriated so I figured tearing apart the car while drunk would be fun.

Bottom line is I took my time, re-read directions and looked at parts closely before tearing it all apart.

Was quite simple to do though, not difficult. If you want to take a look no problem. I gather I'll be around over the weekend if I'm not out driving.

Let me know when and where you'd like to meet up.

You'll need a few things to help the install, basically an exacto knife and a drill bit (drummel tool) comes in handy.
I managed to find them laying around the house/garage. If need be you can borrow the garage/tools when the time comes.

Schweet! Thanks, I'll be gone this weekend so perhaps I can check it out another time. Mine wont be in for about 3 weeks at that rate so the wait.......
Well seems worth it. Perhaps I'll have my X-brace before then!
