Anyone got any opinions on the Lexus 430?
It seems that the M5 idea for my parent's anniversary is a bit out of cash range unfortunately However we checked out a fully loaded LS 430 and it seemed pretty damn nice from the inside, didnt get to test drive though (and it's in the price we can afford for them)...
Any thoughts?
EDIT:
Fully loaded it comes with -
-dvd GPS that works with voice
-Transponder key (no need to put key or press in ignition or press any buttons to open car if you are walking up to it with the transponder on you)
-Massage chairs in the rear sats
- Sports and normal suspension settings that can be adjusted from the interior
-change height of car from interior
-Blue tooth phone connection
-Some sort of directory in terms of finding things on the GPS (restaurants ect ect)
- independent AC vents for the rear
- vanity mirrors for the rear
- alloy wheels (chrome)
And I'm sure I'm forgetting something ontop of all this.
Engine wise - 290 hp V8
all for 73k sticker... thinking could negotiate down under 70k at least...

LS is a very nice car...ride is the smoothest i have ever been in, engine is silky smooth and quiet but with plenty of power, reliability is top notch...the only thing i don't like about it is it has no soul...i feel like the car can drive itself, which might be exactly what your parents are looking for

Very nice. Wife's parents have two of these (one new, one is previous genereation).
I second the reliability and cushiness. But, I wouldn't think of them in the same category as the M5, maybe an S class MB. These are for long trips, not windy roads. Beautifully put together, great steering feel. I would think I'd get more speeding tickets in this car than an S because you can be going 80 and it feels and sounds like you're not even moving.

we just got one in my family.
no rear massage though, but with the sport suspension and everything else.
I LOVE THIS CAR!!!
it is top-notch in luxury and reliability.
not too showy too.
and the 290hp seems to be a little underrated. I dunno, but it feels much much faster.
