If you're going to be passing through the central coast, go along highway 1 in the monterey area (big sur).

Done that and doing again in a couple of months. Doing PCH from half Moon Bay to Cambria. Might do the WHOLE hwy as the road trip or something north and.or east.

if you are buying a Lotus, look somewhere in Oregon

I priced them all over the country and finally came up with a great deal just 40 miles from where I live.

Bought it two weeks ago.

I posted this request (looking for roadtrip suggestions) in several regional forums and I got some great feedback. Thanks to all.

I took it all and collected it into one doc. Then I took the info in the doc and put it on a Google Map. In case you ever need such a thing... here it is.
