Default Local shop to install J's racing gear.

Hi,

Anyone know a good local shop to have a final drive gear installed? I was thinking about getting one and was hoping to get a local quote.

Thanx,

Long

I know of a place. They do mostly RX7s but qualified to do the S2K. The place is called C's racing. They're located in Oakland. The guy who runs the place is named William. I'll try and get his card the next time I swing by...

Hey,

I wish I could tell you. I never found a shop to do the install, thus haven't done it yet. My biggest issue is getting a good/inexpensive install, if there is such a thing. I figgered I'd kill my clutch and replace both at the same time But if someone knows of a good place to get an install lemme know. Maybe we can go for a group install.

I got my clutch installed last week and the Honda of San Francisco at 9th and the shop is awesome. He did not do this together because there is no time saving when done the same time.
(Xviper did a great write up on this.)
He "took of my vortech S?C" put the new clutch in and changed the way the clutch works (push to pull conversion) and also installed my Toda header. This is Honda of San Francisco and not any small shop. I am going to post a write up this week about my experience with them. Very nice guys and S2000 lovers (The mechanic has a big S2000 poster at home on the wall):-)
Anyway he loves S2000 and babies them. I ask him about the final install and he sad no problem :-) I am going to do it soon.

BTW: There are two Honda of San Francisco, the main shop (they do warranty, sale and oilchange :-) and then the satellite of the main facility on 9th street (and Irvine and they do only the tuff stuff)

I don't know Menlo Honda but there suppose to be good. My car is everything but not stock and I need someone to put my aftermarket stuff on.
I am not sure if Menlo Honda is OK with that.

What did SF Honda charge you per hour? Why did ya toss the SC if I may ask? Thanks for the recommendation chicken. If I can get the J's gear installed for ~200 bux I'll install it. You think this is wishful thinking?
