Legacy Plates
Anyone considering ordering a legacy plate for their S? Thinking about getting the black/yellow for mine but not sure whether to do black letters on yellow or yellow letters on black.

My dad actually has a vintage set right now.. He picked them up at the goodwill for $5 cool thing is they can be reassigned to another car, He went into the DMV to check on them. Came off a Pontiac apparently, Even still has the metal "55" tag on the top corner lol.

I read that you can pull them out of a junkyard if you're lucky enough to find both plates in tack as well. They run a magnet test of them or something to make sure they are authentic. I think with this program you can get a customized plate + the (almost)vintage look which was why I am considering it. Don't think having a custom LP# is worth the cost but having both the black/yellow + custom LP# might just be worth the $40/yr.

Now that you've brought this up, I might consider ordering a set of black plates with yellow letters for my RYP. idk though, it might look kind of silly to rock "vintage" plates on a post-millennium car.

So I ordered regular personalized plates two months ago. The DMV website says 8 weeks so I called after 8 weeks and they told me it's probably 4-6 months from the time of ordering before I will get them. I remember it took about 3 months for my last set.
