Your clutch can fry eventually on an AP1 too .

So does it wear x amount faster than an AP1? Or is it all relative?

Aaron
It will wear a lot quicker if you do a lot of clutch drops and quick shifts. I doubt we will see many CDV owners with 100k+ miles on their clutches.

In my06 the clutch was often abused due to slipping 3rd and 4th gear.
It wasn't bad in 1st gear at least it didn't slip any more than I would normally slip a clutch in first.

my07 has been completely different. The CDV is hardly noticeable compared to my06.

If your not spinning tires your slipping your clutch and if neither are happening then you're going nowhere fast.

Interesting. Yeah the CDV in the '06s is just awful...

It's useless to remove the CDV unless you change the flywheel according to billman250. You will still fry the clutch cuz the flywheel is too heavy.

I did that in a friend's F 360. Except the tires didn't spin... it just took off like a bat of hell

nobody does preload (pull e-brake, hold the rpm, feathering the clutch to preload), then when the light turns green, all systems GO! no? instead of loading suddent shock to your drivetrain when launched by dumping your clutch?
