When I had my S, I used to rev it to 6.5k and feather the clutch until I gain close to full traction.

6k to 6.5k drop it like hot!! little wheel spin and you gone like donkey kong!!!if you do it right you be in your power band

5.5k to 6k max....otherwise my tires just start spinning.

i launched at 4.5k at the track any higher and all i see is smoke, never did it on the street yet though

I've never tried I heard its really hard to launch it correctly. I also heard it's damaging to the car.

It's a bit tricky to launch an S, but it's not hard i can show you in your car . If you do it right it wont damaging your rear diff.

because you're not do it right, you just have lil wheel spin and the tires grab n you in your power band!!

Thats what I meant. Little tire spin. I never launch my car. Done it once or twice for the hell of it. Just worried about messing up my car.

Never tried. No real reason to... but now you got me wondering what my '06 will do with traction control on.
