dr. scott hyver (http://www.scotthyver.com/). I know at least 10 people who went to him and good results all around. not cheap, but definitely worth it.

I just did my surgery last tuesday from Dr. Bansal in Mountain View.

I'm still in the recovery phase but went in for a check up yesterday and they rated me at 20/20 vision.

Wondering how much he charged for both eyes as well? I'm thinking of getting it done.

What was the rough ballpark estimate for his price?

from what I understand (which could be wrong), the size of your pupils play a role in whether or not you'll have halos or glare after the surgery.

And I've never heard of "wait til you're 30". I've been told many times that just wait til you're past your teen years when your eyes are going to change the most. I'm 23 and looking at doing this later this year - my prescription hasn't changed in 6+ years.
There's always the chance that you may need further correction. And if you wait til you're 30, then when you hit your 40s there's the chance you will need reading glasses anyway... to me, 20 years of perfect vision before I may need glasses again is worth it to me.
I was checked out at Dr. Kawesch's place on Saratoga/280 - Laser Eye Center of Silicon Valley. http://www.2020eyesite.com/
I was quoted about $2,300... but that was back in '02 so I don't know what their prices are like now

I've heard after 25, but it really depends on the person. If your prescription hasn't changed in 6+ years, then your eyes have stabled out and you're ok for the surgery. If your prescription is still changing on a yearly basis, you may want to hold off until it stays consistent for I'd say at least 3-4 years before you do it.
My eyes have stayed the same prescription for the past 4 years so I'm thinking of getting it done within the next year or two.
