Larry Hopkins Service Department, your opinion
I personally have had nothing but bad service from them and will never go back. I want to hear your thoughts.

I have only tried them once. My check engine light came on and I went by there in the morning. It is a 5 minute job to connect the PGM tester and figure out whats going on. The service advisor, said "oh you are going to have to leave it here all day" I said WTF?? It takes 5 minutes to check it out. He said, "well you are still going to need to leave it so we can diagnose it" I said nevermind and drove off. When I got to the office I called Menlo Honda and they said come on by and we will check it out. It should take only 10 minutes. Needless to say, I will not be going back to Hopkins Service. On the other hand, their parts department gets 5 stars from me. They are the best.

I've heard good and bad things about Hopkins, but have heard nothing but good things about Menlo. HOWEVER, I have had a sketchy interaction with Menlo Honda. Although I don't feel the need to publicize the details, I think that a misconception that they are flawless and perfect shouldn't be conveyed.
And yes.. I live in Menlo Park... and took my car in last time to Hopkins even though Menlo is closer.

i think every dealership has its good service people and their mediocre service people. I went to Hopkins a few times and I must say that they have been above average most of the time. yet one bad experience came up b/c one of the older service advisors made an ignorant comment questioning if I had changed my headlight bulbs with some hotter halogen bulbs? causing some bubbling in my headlight assembly. i was like WTF? and explained to this ignorant fool that the S2000 is NOT a Civic, and has HID headlights that dont get easily replaced with hotter bulbs. he was not amused and then just walked off. Every other trip out there has been fine and uneventful.
I guess this just goes to show that I rememebr te bad experience far more than the good ones...

I dont have any problem with them. They have done all my TSB work as well as other stuff such as standard service. I only take my car to hopkins for service.
