All I can say is... Laguna Seca was so fun. This was my first open track event, so to run on a track like laguna was just too awesome. I ran in the yellow group (ie, rookie) and I was just about the fastest car in that group, I think there were maybe a couple cars significantly faster, but for the most part, either I could keep up with, or ditch everyone else. I ran down 1 Viper GTS, kept up with another GTS, and kept up with a modded C5 with race tires, baer brakes, and a wicked exhaust system. I couldn't believe how well the S2000 could keep up with cars with more than 100 more hp, even in the straights.

Points of interest, tire pressures were 34 psi cold, and went up to about 39psi when hot. I had porterfield R4s all around, and the rear brakes got above 500 degrees while the fronts were about 400 degrees. The rear wheels got up to 260 degrees when I pulled back into the paddock...ouch! one of the rear rotors is now a little warped also.

You guys need to try this, there is a Speed Trial USA event in at laguna December that I'll be going to. But I now look foward to the street school at T-hill in 3 weeks.

Anyways, here is a few pics my friend took, and I'll be buying some of the photos from head on photos later this week when they are available.
