Looks like the vette tried to cut to the right and screwed himself.
Awesome race up untill that point.

The Vette tried to push the Porsche wide and the Porsche responded by pitting him. Tit for tat.

I was at the race but up on the hill back by the corkscrew at the time. All I saw was the Corvette dive on the 911 and then not come out the other side of the grandstands. The battle at the end for LMP1 was pretty good to, not as much contact as this but pretty high speed through some nasty traffic.
