The general consensus, is that most ex-S2K owners realize what they lost a few months out, within a years time. Then maybe 50% of them buy a replacement down the road & get exactly the S2K they wanted to begin with.

BUT...

If youre getting a BRZ/FRS, maybe you wont want to come back? Hmmmm...would really like to hear feedback from an ex-S2K owner going to BRZ/FRS.

Saw that earlier when I was looking at his FS thread! I'll read into it more, but I think Mike is one that is credible to put out a good review; he frequents the track.

This car is no different than the Hyundai 2-seater IMO, right now it's new and fresh so people like it but what's so special about it? Am I missing something?
The hundreds of reviews on the brz/frs should shed some light on what's so special. It really is something special meant to pleasure a car driving enthusiast. The brz/frs is not built for freeway pulls on 880.

I haven't got a chance to put ours through its paced on a mountain road yet but I know that experience would shed some light on the hype. It's not a car built for raw HP it's about balance, handling, and passion. It's not a car everyone can understand and appreciate.
