today i washed the old s2k and thought i'd air dry it with a short spin out to palo alto airport at the end of embarcadero.....i turned off to check out a friends shop and as i returned onto embarcadero a top down yellow/black went by with an anderson sales type and a perspective "buyer"at the wheel......now while i don't profess to know a lot about s2000s.[i've only had mine just under two years]..i think i can tell what 8500 in second sounds and looks like....so some poor soul will buy that cream puff and baby it for what..600 miles or so....oh well,we all know it happens.

 

And just like all the rest.

 

I've driven two from there. I think they usually try to get used ones out for test drives.

At least they're letting people drive them. When I was looking a year ago, nobody would let me drive so I didn't buy until they changed their mind.

 

When I bought my car the car dealership I got mine from had two new S2000. A silverstone out side and a spa yellow on the showroom floor. They let me and my husband go alone together in the silver one. They were either hard up for sales or they thought we were trust worthy. I wouldn't have trusted us, we pulled up in a supercharged prelude and we're young. Of course I bought the yellow off the showroom floor. I wanted the spa yellow anyways

 

Just buy undriven ones that still have seat wrap etc., then there's no problem.
