Learned a good lesson while I was abroad. Absentee ballots aren't counted unless the race is close. I make sure I am here when I vote now.

all I'll add is that if you do vote, vote intelligently and don't just do what some stupid commercial tells you to do - research the items on the ballot, THINK, and then vote

I usually just do some monte carlo simulation, or random generator to vote.
