Unfortunately I havent been having much luck finding an S2000 (2002 model) in the Bay area. My local dealer wants $40,000 and all the dealers that I have phoned within a 200 mile radius that will sell for MRSP say that their 2002 allocations are spoken for. Dealers are definitely willing to haggle on Miatas (below invoice) and on MR2's but they seem very snobby about S2000's.

I got mine at MSRP at Nelson Honda in southern Cal. They're willing to pick you up at the airport.

Thanks for all the advice. I am going to wait a while until the right deal comes along. I get a feeling with the way the economy is going that the days of crazy S2000 pricing may be going away. In the mean time I can always get my adrenaline rush from my Ninja.

I had a ride in a TVR CEREBA the other week now everything feels slow (appart from the Ninja) :-)

Webgod that is an awesome looking silver you have. Very Very nice.

Is there a TVR Cerbera living in Livermore???? I did not think they were being imported into the US.

that's so wrong... just the thought of seeing a cerbera in the bay area is likely to have me driving all over damnation trying to find it.

I'm new to the board too. Must be due to all this rain we've been having here in the Bay Area. I current have no S2000 and think I want one as a second car. I am very patient (like even a year would be OK; after all, it IS a second car) and am willing to wait in line assuming there is a line I can get on somewhere within 200 miles that will sell me one for MSRP. Any suggestions? I suppose it's a bit premature to be thinking color choices, but right now my #1 choice is silver with a red/black interior. Anyone have any suggestions on color? I'll bet everyone has some opinion!
